A voooof is the sound reality pushes out of you when it outruns your capacity to respond. Most of the time it comes out half-laughing — the small daily absurdities we all recognize and survive. Those land on the Ledger.

Sometimes a voooof is lungs-first. Less laugh, more release. Louder, rawer, not quite ready to be tidy. Those roam the Vilderness — wider country, fewer rules, same species of exhale.
